  Its wines, of which more than 50% are exported world-wide (England, Holland, Belgium, Germany, Scandinavian countries, USA, Japan...) carry the Sancerre label and its prestige beyond our borders. The "Crottin de Chavignol", famous goat cheese, also contributes to its fame with 18 million cheeses produced annually...

Thanks to these two products of distinction, its magnificent views, and the Loire, year round tourism is growing steadily.

What charm !
  ancerre, a small town of only 2000 inhabitants and a troubled past is today known throughout France and beyond for its celebrated wine.The Sancerrois vineyards cover 1900 hectares in 14 different villages. Sancerre is proud of its three wines "d'appellation contrôlée". (The white from the Sauvignon wine since 1936, and the rose and red from the pinot wine since 1959).
